Part 1 — Upload Form 130 (Form 16)

Enter Password (if any)
If your Form 16 is password-protected, click Yes and enter the password. The password is typically your date of birth in DDMMYYYY format.

Click Save to let EZTax extract data automatically. If you do not have Form 16, click Manual Entry to enter all details by hand.

Review Personal Information
Once extracted, verify your PAN, name, and address on the Personal Info screen. Correct any errors before proceeding.

Part 2 — Declare Salary Income
Review and complete the salary declaration form

Employee Type
Select whether you work for a Government, Public Sector, or Other employer. This affects certain exemption calculations.

Employer Name & TAN
Enter or verify your employer's name and their TAN (Tax Deduction Account Number), available in Part-A of your Form 16.

Total Taxable Salary
Enter the salary received after all exemptions, allowances, and professional tax. This figure is in Part-B of your Form 16.

HRA Exemption
If your employer provides House Rent Allowance, declare the exempted amount as shown in your Form 16.

Other Exemptions
Declare conveyance, medical, leave travel, and other allowances as a combined total.

TDS on Salary
Enter the total tax deducted by your employer from your salary during the year. Available in Part-A of Form 16.

Part 3 — House Property (Housing Loan)
Declare housing loan interest for self-occupied property

Interest on Housing Loan
Enter the interest paid on a loan taken for construction or purchase of your self-occupied property during the financial year. This figure is available in your bank loan statement.

Pre-Construction Interest
If you are claiming pre-construction period interest, enter the house hand-over date. EZTax automatically calculates the eligible claim over 5 successive years starting from completion.

Property Address
Enter the complete address of your self-occupied property. Check the box to auto-fill from your personal information, or enter manually.

Co-Ownership
If the property is jointly owned, provide your ownership share percentage, along with the co-owner's name, PAN, and their share.

Click Save
Save to record your house property declaration.

Note: The maximum deduction on interest for a self-occupied property is ₹2,00,000 per year under the old tax regime.
