How to Customize your GST Tax Invoice?

A Tax Invoice in new GST regime is an important document not only from the taxation and compliance standpoint but also to show the confidence in your business to your clientele. EZTax.in made every effort to provide high customization of your tax invoice to suit your business need.

Login to EZTax.in GST software go to sales tab and click on create invoice. In create invoice screen click on invoice customization by clicking invoice customization screen will appear. Here you need to follow below instructions.

Invoice Customization Explained

The invoices you create uses a template to display its information. You can customize the way invoice information is displayed by customizing the templates.

Turn On/Off Log In e-Mails: A Sign in alert e-Mail will come to your email whenever you sign in to EZTax GST Accounting Software. If you don’t want to receive such e-mails, you can turn off login e-mails by clicking here.

Enable Auto-Invoice Delivery:

  1. Once you turn on an invoice email, an email is automatically sent.
  2. Once you turn off an invoice email, that invoice emails will not be sent.

Invoice Print Size & Orientation: Different businesses have very different requirements regarding their invoicing forms. Some businesses need relatively long content on each field, such as address, description etc., and they need less lines on the invoice detail section.

Choose Print Size:
  1. A4 (Popular): It is standard size of printing invoice. When you want to print on A4, you need to select A4.
  2. A5 (Rare): The next paper size after A4 is A5. If you want to print on A5, you need to select A5.
  3. POS Receipt (3.125 inch width): Point of sale generally referred for terminal billing at a super market or any other kiosk. When you want to print on 3.125 inch width, you can select POS receipt.
  4. Portrait: Most popular orientation in Invoice printing is "Portrait". If you want to print on a letterhead paper (a pre-printed paper with a letter head at the top of the page), just click on the check box. As the letterhead do contain a business name, address, and a logo or corporate design, and sometimes a background pattern, the system print the invoice except such business information.
  5. Landscape: To allow more content in each field, and to have fewer lines on the invoice detail section, print using "Landscape" orientation. This simple invoice template details the steps and issues that could occur

Invoice Screen Customization: The invoice customization features allow you to customize a lot of options to view on your invoices. Pick and choose from the following options to appear in the lower portion of your invoices. Deselect any of the options to hide them from your invoices.

If you create the invoice customization choose the following fields like

  1. Additional Description: On an item invoice where you require more description for an item that you are selling, enter the description item on the line below the item you are selling. When the invoice prints, you will see only the description you entered. The back-slash in front of the description item prevents the word description from printing.
  2. Discount: Discount means reduction in sale price or purchase. It is generally given by the supplier of goods or services. If you want to include discount in your invoices, you need to select discount option here
  3. GST cess: GST cess is a compensation cess levied on certain goods or services to provide compensation to states for loss of revenue due to the implementation of GST. If you want GST cess to be viewed on your invoices, you can select GST cess.
  4. Tax Type: A 'taxable person' under GST, is a person who carries on any business at any place in India and who is registered or required to be registered under the GST Act. If you want the tax type in the invoice, you need to select tax type here. The tax type might be exclusive or inclusive.
  5. ITC: Input credit means at the time of paying tax on output, you can reduce the tax you have already paid on inputs and pay the balance amount.
  6. Your Sample Invoice Template: An invoice is a commercial document issued by a seller to a buyer, relating to a sale transaction and indicating the products, quantities, and agreed prices for products or services the seller had provided the buyer.

Business Preference: Select Your Default Business: You need to select the particular business name option on which you want the invoices).

Apply: After selecting all the required items, you need to click on apply to save the data. The selected requirements will be effective after clicking the apply option.
